This week I've been seeing the first signs of summer here in LA. People have been dressing differently and staying out later, especially since daylight savings time. I can now step out of my apartment in the morning without wearing a hoodie. It feels wierd; I guess part of me is still used to being barred indoors through March. Not that the weather here in the winter is that far off from what it is in the spring or fall, but during the past few months people were definitely more introverted. Maybe we have it ingrained in our genes to turn inward for part of the year in reflection. After all, most of the people I've met here are, like myself, from parts of the country that require one to wear layers more often than not.
