I am not interested in gold or new shoes,
nor the eyes and the minds of the masses
evaluating my business.
I am not concerned with notions of progress.
Rather,
I am interested in the transparency of leaves,
and the rumble of a train in my feet.
I am listening for the brightness in laughter,
feeling the vibrations of a soul
bounce around the room.
I am interested in the sway of the ocean
that puts the world in motion.
But most of all,
Somewhere between the beat of ten thousand drums
and the softness of a sleeping breath,
I am interested in you.
